A quote for the Queen of Wands (Clubs)
If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow. – Chinese Proverb
Reflections & notes
Flaming passion and boldness are hallmarks of the warm, creative Queen of Wands. But her fiery nature can burn her (and others) if she dishes up what she’s stewing over before she’s cooled down. Watch that temper, and temper your responses with charm and (groan) restraint, if you’re the Queen of Wands or the recipient of her sparks-will-fly annoyance.
- Use the quote as a writing prompt.
- Can you recall your own (not someone else’s) mortifying transgression? The one where you jumped, feet first, down someone’s throat because you jumped to the wrong conclusion? Occasional I-hope-I-never-do-that-again remembrances keep us from doing that again.
- Should we always speak our mind? When is it wise to hit the pause button on a thought going straight from our mind to our mouth?
- Do we have the right to inflict injury (not the same thing as having healthy boundaries and insisting people manage their own damage and quit being abusive) because we feel injured? Looking back to when we have done so, what was it within us that provoked us?

The backstory
Long ago, I altered a physical deck of playing cards by writing a quote on each card. I use this pip deck a lot (there’s no Major Arcana, of course). I’ve started digitizing the cards to share online. I hope they help and encourage you to explore the tarot as a tool for personal growth, or bring something fresh and new to the tarot table if you’re a tarot buff.
